It’s in the title! This piece was inspired by the concept of intrusive thoughts. I’d recently learned a mindfulness exercise where you visually assign a color to a single thought, and then picture physically pulling this certain colored thought out of your head. The idea of assigning colors to thoughts led me to experiment with assigning textures and shapes to them as well, and this piece developed.
