With this piece, I utilized the romantic connotation of softly lit candles and dim lighting to highlight the romanticization of cigarettes. While cigarette use continues to decrease among adolescents, its appeal as an aesthetic lingers. The same candles that bespeak youth and vibrance are haunting - a silent candlelit vigil for desecrated lungs.
